Lo que más disfruto de mi trabajo es ver a los caballos correr, desatar toda esa tremenda energía y que sientan por un momento la libertad. Lo que disfruto mucho, es que trabajando con caballos siempre se crean instancias para plasmar en una fotografía.
Cada vez que veo un caballo correr, acostado en su establo, a un pájaro posarse sobre las tinas de agua, a un hot walker caminar, a un groom acariciar su caballo, a una ardilla corriendo, cada detalle me parece un momento digno de plasmar en un recuerdo imborrable, como es la fotografía, para poder compartir con otros lo hermoso que es mi trabajo.
Doy gracias a Dios que un dia tuve la valentía de dejar mi país y mi zona de confort, descubrir que pasando los limites o el horizonte que conocía hay un mundo lleno de cosas interesantes por aprender y encontrar un trabajo que amo hacer, algo que no parece trabajo, algo que me hace feliz.
What I enjoy most about my job is seeing the horses run, unleashing all that tremendous energy and feeling, for a moment, freedom. What I enjoy a lot, is that working with the horses always creates instances to capture in a photograph.
Each time that I see a horse run, laying down in its stable, a bird perched on the tubs of water, a hotwalker walking, a groom stroking his horse, a squirrel running, each detail seems to me like a moment worthy of capturing in a permanent moment, such as photography, to be able to share with others the beauty that is my job.
I thank God that one day I had the courage to leave my country and my comfort zone, to discover that beyond the limits or the horizon that I knew there is a world full of interesting things to learn and to discover a job that I love doing, something that doesn’t seem like work, something that makes me happy.

Esta foto fue tomada durante mi horario de trabajo. Lo que me inspiró a tomarla fue lo tanto que me sorprenden la anatomía de los caballos y en este caso el proceso de evaporación que produce el agua sobre sus cuerpos justo después de su entrenamiento.
This picture was taken during my work shift. What inspired me to take it was how much I was surprised by the anatomy of horses, and in this case , the process of evaporation that produces the water on their bodies just after their training.

Nos gusta ir muy seguido a relajarnos en el parque después de terminar del trabajo. Me siento bien disfrutando con mi esposo. Desde el parque conversamos con nuestros hijos por video llamada y compartimos todos juntos.
We like to very frequently to relax in the park after finishing work. It feels nice enjoying it with my husband. From the park we talk with our children by video call and we all spend time together.

Lo mas lindo de este trabajo son los lazos que se forman entre el caballo y groom, cuando entregas cariño y preocupación por los animales, ellos te entregan un amor incondicional.
Siempre trabaje en otras cosas en mi país. Alla soy administradora de Empresas, sinceramente si hubiera conocido el trabajo con caballos antes, tal vez ni siquiera hubiera estudiado lo que estudie.
Me gusta la tranquilidad de mi nuevo trabajo porque no tiene excesiva presión y un caballo no te lastima diciéndote cosas hirientes, ellos no tienen malas intenciones como muchas personas. Si un caballo salta, por lo general es por que se asusta, no por maldad o por querer dañarte.
The most beautiful part of this job is the bonds that are formed between horse and groom, when you show affection and concern for animals, they show you unconditional love.
I have always worked in other things in my country. There I am a business manager, sincerely if I had known before about the work with the horses, maybe I would not have even studied what I studied.
I like the calmness of my new job because it does not have excessive pressure and a horse doesn’t hurt you by saying mean things, they don’t have bad intentions, like a lot of people. If a horse jumps, it is usually because it is afraid, not out of spite or because it wants to hurt you.

Tengo seis años viniendo a Saratoga, pero hasta ahora tuve la oportunidad de tomar fotos de esta ciudad.
Dando un paseo por el centro, pude capturar esa foto. Un edificio antiguo de ladrillos y estos carros antiguos estacionados. Trayendo al día de hoy una idea de como pudo haber sido esta ciudad años atrás.
I have been coming to Saratoga for 6 years, but so far I have had the opportunity to take pictures of the city.
Taking a stroll through downtown, I was able to capture this photo. An old brick building and these old parked cars. Bringing today an idea of how this city could have been many years ago.

Taking advantage of free time to relax with nature. The striking colors, the reflection of the sun on the leaves and the good vibes that it transmits always invites one to admire and observe. Doing it after a long day at work makes it that much better.

Este día, regresaba de Boston en un autobús de Greyhound. Siempre estoy triste cuando viajo lejos de mi familia. El autobús hace una parada en la estación de autobuses de Springfield. Viajar a Boston es una experiencia muy divertida para mí. Pasar tiempo con mi familia es lo mejor. Pero cuando me voy para regresar a Saratoga, me siento triste. Pero este día fue diferente—estaba lloviendo fuerte y las gotas de lluvia en la ventana del autobús reflejaban cómo me sentía: las gotas de lluvia eran lágrimas en el pavimento y el contorno de la estación de autobuses. Me gusta cómo el reflejo de la plataforma fue delineado por la lluvia en el pavimento y cómo el reflejo de la estación de autobuses se reprodujo en el pavimento. ¡Parecía maravilloso! No pude evitar tomar una foto y capturar el momento que expresaba mi emoción.
Miré por la ventana del autobús y todas estas pequeñas gotas de lluvia cubrían la ventana. Inmediatamente agarré mi cámara y tomé una foto capturando la esencia de mi emoción que sentía en ese momento—triste, sola, lejos de ellos. Estaba lloviendo a cántaros mientras miraba por la ventana. El tiempo expresaba mis emociones. Estaba pensativa y triste porque estaba regresando a Saratoga pero lejos de mi familia.
On this day I was returning from Boston on the Greyhound bus. I’m always sad when I travel away from my family. The bus makes a stop at the Springfield bus station. Traveling to Boston is such a fun time for me. Spending time with my family is the best. But when I leave to return to Saratoga, I feel sad. But this day was different— it was raining hard and the rain drops on the window of the bus reflected how I was feeling: the raindrops were tears on the pavement and the outline of the bus station. l like how the reflection of the bus platform was outlined by the rain on the pavement and how the reflection of the bus station mirrored on the pavement. It looked lovely! I couldn’t help but take pictures and capture a moment that conveyed my emotion.
I looked out the window from the bus and all these tiny raindrops covered the window. Immediately I grabbed my camera and took a picture capturing the essence of my emotion that I was feeling at that moment— sad, lonely away from them. It was pouring rain as I looked out the window. The weather conveyed my emotions. I was pensive and sad because I was traveling back to Saratoga away from being with my family.

Este es mi día a día, desde hace 10 años. Son las 10:30 de la mañana tratando de mantener el lugar limpio y terminar con el trabajo de la mañana.
Tinas de comida, bolas de comida para los caballos, plástico para las vendas, baldes de pomada, botes para la suciedad y las cajas de herramientas. Todo esto lo utilizamos a diario para llevar a cabo nuestro trabajo.
This has been my day to day, for 10 years ago. It’s 10:30 in the morning, trying to keep the place clean and finish with my morning work.
Tubs of food, bushels of hay for the horses, plastic for the bandages, buckets of ointment, boots for the dirt and boxes of tools. All of this we use everyday to carry out our work.

Since I am in the United States, my work day after day is to walk the horses. (Hotwalker). I wanted to reflect in the photo what defines my job, as well as part of the process of training the horses.

En mi pais no logro percatar el cambio de estación porque es un clima cálido todo el a;o. Al llegar en la época del frío y ver como empezaban los pinos a enverdeser a tomar su color natural por la entrada del verano fue una linda experiencia, totalmente diferente para mi.
I was inspired to take this photo when I was walking and observing the trees at sunset.
In my country I can not notice the changing of the seasons because it is a warm climate all year. Arriving in the cold season and seeing how the pines start to turn green and take their natural color for the entrance of summer was a lovely experience, totally different for me.

When I was riding a bicycle in the afternoon and arriving from the park, the sky really caught my attention. This is why I stopped to take a picture of the beautiful sunset.
This picture represents to us the beauty that is nature and the great beauty that is the city of Saratoga Springs, a place where the people are very kind and where I have enjoyed working for the first time. I hope that it is the first of many.

Esta foto fue tomada cerca de mi habitación, la cual puede interpretarse como que es una muestra despilfarro de dinero en alcohol pero realmente es una manera que utilizan algunas personas para conseguir dinero extra recolectando latas y botellas plásticas a pesar de la vergüenza que a veces sienten por las miradas y risas de algunas personas en el Grand Stand, lo que no es más que una muestra de ignorancia y poca valoración del trabajo honrado, ya que una vez recicladas, contribuyen directamente al medio ambiente.
This photo was taken close to my room, which can be interpreted as a waste of money on alcohol, but really it is a way for some people to earn extra money, collecting cans and plastic bottles despite the embarrassment that they sometimes feel from the looks and laughs from some people in the Grand Stand, which is nothing more than a show of ignorance and little appreciation for an honorable job, because once recycled, these cans directly help the environment.

One Sunday evening while arriving to church, in the back of a field a friend tells me to look at the crosses and take a picture. Which when I look, if it stands out to me I take a picture.
This picture signifies love, because out of love Jesus made the sacrifice of being crucified for us.

Caminando a Price Chopper miré hacia el cielo y vi esta magnífica vista del cielo. Fue impresionante, se parecía ondas ondulantes de nubes. Me cautivaba lo hermoso que la ondulación insuperable de nubes que adoraba el ciel. ¡Fue pintoresco! La ondulación de nubes, el árbol y los faros producen un contraste extraordinario. No tenía la intención de tener el carro en la foto—apareció en el momento en que tomé la foto. Mirando la foto, encuentro que los faros del carro agregaron un elemento adicional de luz y de contraste. He decidido llamar esta foto “Ciel de Nuit.” El árbol y los faros creen un contraste notable. Me gusta lo que dijo Elliot Erwitt sobre la fotografía en blanco y negro: “El olor es descriptivo. El blanco y negro es interpretativo.”
Walking to Price Chopper I looked up to the sky and saw this magnificent view of the sky. It was breathtaking, resembling ripple waves of clouds. I was mesmerized by how lovely the unsurmountable ripple of clouds resembled waves adorning the sky. It was picturesque! The ripple of cloud waves, the tree, and headlights, make for a remarkable contrast. The car was not intended in the photo — it happened to show up just as I snapped the picture. Looking at the photo, I found the car’s headlight added that extra element of light and contrast. I’ve decided to title this photo “Ciel de Nuit” “Night Sky.” The tree and the headlight mingle in a remarkable contrast. I like what Elliot Erwitt said about black and white photography: “Color is descriptive. Black and white is interpretive.”
