Humberto Álvarez

Nací en Santa Rosa, Guatemala.  Tengo cuatro años de estar viniendo a trabajar a Saratoga en New York y a otros estados.  Yo cuido los caballos por la noche y durante el día descanso.

Luego de descansar converso con mis amigos y me gusta ir a estar en el Recreación un rato para distraerme un poco y conversar con otras personas.

Me gusta mucho el trabajo y también me gusta ser muy responsable. Es un trabajo esforzado pero me satisface hacerlo.  Lo que hago es proteger a los caballos, los abrigo del frío y les doy agua cuando lo necesiten.

Extraño a mi familia, aunque converso todos los días con ellos.  Ellos son muy importante en mi vida, así también las personas que trabajan aquí en el track porque todos somos iguales.  Por eso me gusta llevarme bien con todos.

Con el curso de fotografía aprendí muchas maneras de tomar fotos, también me gusta compartir con las personas que trabajan en la oficina, pudiendo interactuar más entre nosotros.

I was born in Santa Rosa, Guatemala. I have been coming to work in Saratoga in New York and in other states for four years. I take care of the horses at night and during the day I rest. 

After resting I talk with my friends and I like to go hang out in the Rec Hall for a bit to distract myself a little and talk with other people. 

I like the track a lot and I also like to be very responsible. It’s a hard job but it’s fulfilling to do it. What I do is protect the horses, I cover them up from the cold and give them water when they need it. 

I miss my family, even though I talk with them every day. They are very important in my life, as well as the people that work here at the track because all of us are equal. That’s why I like to get along well with them. 

With the photography course I learned a lot of ways to take photos, and I also like to share with the people that work in the office, being able to interact more among ourselves.
