Juan Hurtón

Soy de la República Dominicana y es mi primera temporada trabajando con los caballos en el Track esperando que sea la primera de muchas.

Vine a aprender y a buscar nuevas oportunidades de trabajo y ha sido una experiencia muy satisfactoria.  He conocido nuevas culturas con mis compañeros de diferentes naciones, aunque hablemos el mismo idioma su acento es distinto.

Me ha gustado mucho la ciudad de Saratoga Springs, la gente muy amable y servicial.

En mi tiempo libre aprovecho para hacer otras cosas tales como ir a la iglesia, al parque, al gimnasio y también voy a los cursos que aquí ofrecen como los de inglés y fotografía.

Nunca había recibido un curso de fotografía y aprendí las diferentes maneras para tomar fotos con algún significado y seguiré practicando de regreso a mi país. Ha sido una experiencia bonita aprender y compartir con los compañeros.

I am from the Dominican Republic and it’s my first season working with the horses at the racetrack. I hope that it is the first of many. 

I came to learn and to look for new opportunities for work and it has been a very satisfying experience. I have experienced new cultures with my companions of different nationalities. Even though we all speak the same language, the accent is distinct. 

I have really liked the city of Saratoga Springs, the people are very polite and helpful. In my free time, I take advantage of doing other things such as going to church, to the park, to the gym, and I also go to the courses that they offer here like that of English and photography. 

I have never received a photography course and here I learned the different ways of taking pictures that have meaning. I will continue practicing when I return to my country. It has been a lovely experience to learn and share with my companions.
