Las oportunidades no se planean ni se estudian. Estas vienen a ti cuando llega el momento de demostrarlo. El mundo esta lleno de puertas abiertas, muchas oportunidades, pero estas no te encuentran, tú las tienes que buscar.

Cannot plan or study for opportunities. They come to you when it is your time to demonstrate it. The world is filled with open doors, a lot of opportunity, but they don’t find you, you have to seek it.

Este amigo se siente muy triste al lado de la ventana… No sabemos que estará pensando pero con su mirada en la ventana sé que está muy pensativo. De las fotos que tomé, está es la que más me gusta… Es muy interesante, ¿Qué creen ustedes?

This friend of mine feels very sad sitting by the window… We don’t know what he is thinking but by his look reflected on the window I know he is thinking. Out of the pictures I took, this one is my favorite. It is very interesting, what do you think?

11 de Junio. Un buen día y un buen momento para ir al centro de Saratoga en “Broadway” y sacar fotos. Lo que me gusta de la foto es que todos van marchando por estatura y todos van alzando el pie y levantando los brazos al mismo tiempo.

June 11. A good day and a good time to go downtown Saratoga and walk on Broadway to take pictures. What I like about this picture is that the soldiers are sorted by height and when they march the lift their feet and arms all of them at the same time.

Bueno aquí fue donde me llevaron a ver un partido de béisbol juvenil, un partido de niños. Este fue mi primera vez en un partido de niñitos. Saqué mi camera y empecé a tomar fotos y bueno a veces es muy divertido hacer estas cosas. El equipo de Luka ganó. Nunca en mi vida me habían invitado a salir para ver un partido aunque sea béisbol. Además en México no hay muchos chicos que disfruten de jugar béisbol.

Well, here they took me to see a youth baseball game, a game of children. This was my first time seeing a children’s baseball game. I took out my camera and began to take photos and well, sometimes it is very fun to do these things. Luka’s team won. Never in my life had I been invited to go to see a game except for basketball. Besides, in Mexico there are not many children who like to play baseball.

En esta foto, bueno, ese día me llevó Roberta a su casa. Cuando llegué a su casa, estaba la mamá de Fili, su esposo. Ella nació en el estado de Oaxaca, México y vino aquí a Saratoga Springs, NY. Esta fue su primera vez. Le tomé muchas fotos a ella, pero esta es la que más me gusta. Es cuando de repente empieza abrazar a la niña: la coquetea y le acaricia. Yo pensé que era un buen momento de tomar las fotos y de veras que fue un gran momento.

On that day Roberta brought me to her house and when I arrived in her house the mother of her husband Fili was there. She was born in the state of Oaxaca, Mexico and came here to Saratoga Springs, NY. This was her first time. I took a lot of photos of her but this was the one I liked the most. This is when she all of a sudden she began to hug and caress the girl. I thought this was a good moment to take photos and truly it was a great moment.
