Gloria Jazmany Hernández
Mi nombre es Gloria Jazmany Hernández y soy de México. Soy madre de tres hijos. Vine a este país a los 16 años con un bebé en mis brazos. Vine en busca de un futuro mejor para mi hijo y para mí. Llevo aquí 18 años. Ha sido un viaje difícil, pero he luchado mucho y también he tenido la ayuda de gente amable. Recuerdo especialmente a mi primera profesora de inglés, Dorothy. Ella realmente me ayudó a empezar a aprender inglés.
La fotografía me aleja de mis responsabilidades como gerente de un restaurante y cabeza de familia. Lo que me gusta de la fotografía es que puedo capturar momentos y recuerdos y crecer como artista. No se trata solo de tomar una foto, se trata de esforzarse por captar la esencia del momento, lugar o persona. Salir al mundo a fotografiar sería un sueño para mí. Quiero agradecer a todos los profesores que compartieron su tiempo y conocimientos con nosotros este año. Aprendí mucho.

My name is Gloria Hazmany Loachamin Hernández and I am from Mexico. I am a mother of three. I came to this country when I was 16 with a baby in my arms. I came looking for a better future for my son and me. I have lived here for 18 years. It has been a difficult time, but I have fought a lot and have been helped by kind people. I remember one of those that helped me my first English teacher, Dorothy. She really helped me and encouraged me to learn English.
Photography takes me away from my responsibilities as manager of a restaurant and head of my family. What I like about photography is that I can capture moments and artist as I grow as an artist. It’s not only about taking a photo, it is about putting in the effort to capture the essence of the moment, place or person. Going out into the world of photography would be a dream for me. I want to thank all the professors who shared their time and knowledge with us this year. I learned a lot.
