Gustavo Adolfo García
Mi nombre es Gustavo García y soy de Guatemala, allí fui a la escuela. Ciencias y estudios sociales fueron mis clases favoritas. También estudié inglés durante un año.
Vine a Saratoga en el 2010, para trabajar con caballos lo cual me gusta mucho. Empecé como hotwalker y cuando tenía días libres jugaba fútbol, en el 2014 era groom, limpiaba y preparaba los caballos para la competencia, en California tuve la oportunidad de preparar a un caballo famoso, Gio Ponti.
El día de la inauguración de las carreras aquí en Saratoga es muy emocionante, me gusta la energía y el movimiento de todo.
Hoy en día soy Galopador, cuando lo hago siento que el mundo se para y somos solo el caballo y yo.
Uno de mis pasatiempos favoritos es ir al parque a caminar o a correr con mi pareja y disfrutar de los paisajes y largas conversaciones, también soy muy callado, observador y me encanta disfrutar el tiempo en casa, trabajar y hacer cosas de madera, eso me relaja y distrae mi mente.
En el 2012 Me invitaron a participar en el taller de fotografía fui a las clases, pero se me hacía difícil y usar la cámara y mis fotos salían movidas y le quería tomar foto a todo. En el 2014 me invitaron a participar por segunda vez y ahí ya tuve más noción de las técnicas para tomar una buena fotografía. Esa vez disfruté mucho como me quedaban y me sentí muy feliz porque gané el concurso.
En 2017 volví a participar y me sentí muy bien al saber que ya tenía más ojo para tomar una foto.
¡Este año me convencí que amo la fotografía! y aunque las circunstancias mundiales son difíciles, las clases fueron excelentes.
Reconozco el esfuerzo de todas las personas que conforman este proyecto, para poder reunir un equipo que trabajara en beneficio de la comunidad latina a la que pertenezco.
Agradezco de manera especial a los maestros por su tiempo y dedicación ya que cambiaron la dinámica haciendo de este curso, el que más he aprendido.

My name is Gustavo Garcia and I’m from Guatemala, I went to school there. Science and social studies were my favorite classes. I also studied English for a year.
I came to Saratoga in 2010, to work with horses which I like a lot. I started as a hotwalker and when I had days off I would play soccer. In 2014 I was a groom, I would clean and groom the horses for their races for their competitions. In California I had the opportunity to groom a famous horse, Gio Ponti.
Opening day in Saratoga is very exciting, I like the energy and the movement of everything.
Today I am an exercise rider, when I do it I feel like the world stops and the horse and I are alone together.
One of my favorite pastimes is going to the park to walk or run with my partner and enjoy the scenery and long conversations, I am also very reserved, an observer, and I love to enjoy time at home, working and making things out of wood, this relaxes me and distracts my mind.
In 2012 I was invited to participate in the photography workshop. It was difficult for me to use the camera and my photos came out blurry and I wanted to take pictures of everything. In 2014 I was invited to participate again and at that point I had a better idea about how to take a good photograph. That time I really enjoyed how they came out and I was happy because I won the competition.
In 2017 I participated again and I felt good knowing that I already had a better eye for taking photos.
This year convinced me that I love photography! And although the global circumstances are difficult, the classes were excellent.
I recognize the efforts of all the people that put together this project, to be able to gather a team to work to benefit the Latino community to which I belong.
I especially thank the teachers for their time and dedication because they changed the dynamic, making this course the one I have learned the most from.
